John Denver is a popular artist and musician who has touched a lot of people with his songs. Most of his songs are based on Colorado. Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. grew up in Roswell New Mexico. However, he fell in love Colorado. He eventually made his way to Aspen. Denver's songs for his home state have drawn many to Colorado. G. Brown the curator of Colorado Music Hall of Fame declared the following: John Denver was by far one of the top musicians who was a symbol of Colorado. Denver was the Hall of Fame's first ever to be inducted. To many, Denver is the symbol of Colorado. On my trips I've encountered individuals who are from New Zealand or the other side. If you inform that you're from Colorado, the first words they'll say is Oh John Denver. Brown declared. Take Me Home Country Roads, co-written by Bill Danoff and Denver after his brief time as a folk musician which was Denver's first Top 10 solo hit. Danoff created the track along with Johnny Cash in mind but after Denver heard an early version it was clear that it was destined to be an instant hit. The song was first recorded several weeks after it was performed in Washington D.C. performance.
